It finally happened - the moment we were all waiting for. On a muggy June 30th Saturday afternoon on our porch Maia let go and ... W A L K E D ! And for all of you who couldn't be there we've captured it on video.

It's been a while since we posted movies of Maia... but we assure you, it was worth the wait. In this revealing video, you'll see Maia play with an old (not old, classic) wooden push toy, scream some lovely nonsense and, well, address us by our proper "titles". Drooling proud Papa speaks:

"Call me crazy, but I would really like to know whether Wassili Kandinsky (or Picasso, or Matta or whomever), was this good at age 16 months. I mean, check out the composition, the use of color, the freakin' rhythm for crying out loud. Is this art or what? Hang it at the MoMA and you'll know the answer. Duchamp was right."

Here's Maia modeling her summer dresses. Doesn't she look absolutely stunning in them? The red one is a present from Steve at Vassar and the heavenly white-and-blue summer-party-gown from our good friends Olivia, Ryan & Boomer.














Being a girl of the 21st century she is also totally comfortable dealing with iMacs, driving cars and swingin' those good old swings.
