Maia Fest!

12/30/2006 was a very special day, people from all over gathered in a tiny little village in the southeast of Austria to celebrate Maia. We met all of our relatives from Austria, la abuela from Chile, Gero from Barcelona, and many other friends we haven't seen in a long time... there was folk music, Hatzendorf's one and only marching band, delicious food, great wine, lots of catching up and chatting - all in all a real "gemuetlicher" afternoon. For those of you, who don't know what "gemuetlich" is, we won't go into a lot of explaining, you just might have to visit Austria and experience it for yourself, let's just say it is certainly what Mama and Papa miss most when they come back to the States.

We have got a whole lot of pictures from our vacation: Maia loved to see and play with her cousins Paul and Sissi again, she spend Christmas with Oma und Opa in Hatzendorf; she even watched Opa cut the tree (and sing "Oh Tannenbaum, oh Tannenbaum..." accordingly); got to see all of Opa's cows and piglets, spent some time in Graz. Well, just check out the pictures and see all of Maia's adventures...
