I'm getting to know all my grandparents

I seem to be a really popular girl: people fly from all over the world just to see me. First my abuela came from Chile and now Oma und Opa arrived from Austria. Despite what appears to me as cultural differences, they all have one thing in common: they love me like crazy and spoil me day in and day out. I don't even mind that they all speak different languages, we communicate just fine. All I need to do is to babble a bit and they get all excited, it's funny to see.

If you want to see how much fun we had together, check out all the pictures here.

The most complete family portrait so far: Opa Franz, Mama Gabi, Oma Maria, Abuela Rosa, Papa Guary and yes, Baby Maia checking out her funny little feet.

These people are all nuts about me - Abuela, Mama and Oma. Hey, anyone else out there who feels as loved as me? ... didn't think so.

When it's really hot my mama takes me to Silver Lake, so I can get to know more of what nature has to offer: fresh water, sand, rocks...

Papa used all these funny looking tools to fix up this chair for me, so I can be a ROCKIN' MAIA!

Baby tubs are for kids, I'm grown up now and can take refreshing dips in the kitchen sink! Hey, I need room to splash real good!!!

Concert in Lasdon Park: Maia enjoys the finer arts and mingles with the very best of Westchester County - FANCY GIRL!

Maia cuddles, snuggles, babbles and demands full attention at all times - and we don't complain.

Power Trio: Maia, Tia Rosa and Che Guevara. We're not sure if Maia is aware that she is already being exposed to fine leftist tradition - but who knows...

Maia's incredible beauty makes me want to write cheesy poetry

Maia giggles, Maia smiles
and she opens her eyes like two freakin' little stars

Maia bounces, Maia laughs
and both her chubby cheeks bounce at once

Maia babbles, Maia hugs
and gives wet kisses which are kinda nice

Oh, mi Maia, qué guapa que está!
you should go and check her right now!

The extremely demanding physical exercise regimen that abuela has developed for Maia is an obvious success: Maia is able to lift her head 90 degrees and see the dangers ahead!

Maia's creativity knows no bounds; here you can see her at work on a series of "footprint postcards" she made with some assistance from her mama. NYC's art dealers were impressed with the volume and quality of her production.

Maia demands: less talk, more rock!
